1. Purpose and scope
Kichacha ("we", "us", "our") operates the Kichacha mobile application (iOS and Android) and related services at kichacha.com(together, the "Service"). This document sets out our published standards against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sexual exploitation, and related harm.
This page is maintained as a stable, publicly accessible reference for users, partners, and platforms. It should be read together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
2. Adults only
The Service is intended solely for people who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly permit minors to use the Service. Account creation requires a date of birth that confirms adulthood. If we learn that a minor has created an account or is using the Service, we will take appropriate action, including account termination and removal of associated content, and we will cooperate with competent authorities where required by law.
3. Zero tolerance for CSAE and CSAM
We prohibit the following in connection with the Service, without exception:
- Any sexual depiction, solicitation, or endangerment of minors, including sharing, requesting, storing, or distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
- Grooming, predatory behaviour, or any attempt to obtain sexual contact or imagery from a person under 18, or to misrepresent age to facilitate such contact.
- Sexualisation of minors, including sexual comments directed at minors or content that sexualises children.
- Facilitation or promotion of child trafficking, sexual exploitation, or any other form of child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).
Violations may result in immediate account termination, preservation of relevant records where legally permitted, and referral to law enforcement and/or designated hotlines as appropriate.
4. Related prohibited conduct
In addition to section 3, the following is prohibited on the Service:
- Harassment, threats, coercion, or non-consensual sexual content involving any user.
- Impersonation, fraud, or misrepresentation intended to harm or exploit others.
- Use of the Service to arrange illegal activity or to harm vulnerable people.
Further rules appear in our Terms of Service.
5. Prevention and safety measures
We apply a combination of technical, operational, and policy measures designed to reduce CSAE risk, including:
- Age gating: requiring users to confirm they are 18+ at registration and enforcing removal of accounts that appear to belong to minors.
- Reporting and blocking: in-app tools to report profiles, messages, and behaviour that violate these standards or our Terms.
- Review and enforcement: human review of reports where appropriate, account and content action consistent with our policies, and escalation for severe or illegal content.
- Data handling: processing of safety-related reports in line with our Privacy Policy and applicable law.
We continually assess and improve our safety practices as the Service evolves. No system is perfect; if you see something that concerns you, please report it immediately.
6. How to report child safety concerns
If you believe a user is under 18, or you encounter CSAM, grooming, or other CSAE risk:
- Use the in-app reporting and blocking tools as soon as possible.
- Email us at support@kichacha.com with the subject line "Child safety report" and include relevant details (username, approximate time, and a description of the concern). Do not attach or forward illegal imagery; if you have encountered CSAM online, follow local guidance (for example, in the UK, reports can be made to the appropriate national reporting centre).
- If anyone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
7. Law enforcement and regulatory cooperation
We comply with applicable laws relating to online safety and child protection. Where we have a lawful basis and it is technically feasible, we will respond to valid legal requests from law enforcement and regulators, preserve evidence as required, and report to competent authorities where the law obliges us to do so.
8. Designated contact for child safety practices
For questions about these standards, CSAM prevention practices, or compliance with platform child safety requirements, contact:
- Email: support@kichacha.com
- App: Kichacha
- Website: www.kichacha.com
The developer account contact on Google Play may also be used where that address is designated for safety correspondence for the listing.
9. Changes
We may update this document to reflect legal, regulatory, or product changes. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we publish a revision. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised standards where permitted by law.
